Frequently Asked Questions

What is Natural Health?

In the context of Pastoral Science and Medicine, “natural health” involves improving your health and wellness through use of holistic, biblically-sound natural approaches, non-toxic substances and non-invasive protocols – and by practicing healthy living.

Natural health looks at the whole person, attempting to identify the underlying causes of imbalanced conditions, and tailoring health recovery plans to the individual while emphasizing prevention and self-care.

How does Natural Health compare to conventional medicine?

Natural health is for people seeking to improve their health by using food and natural supplements as their medicine to help with various health conditions, rather than pharmaceutical drugs, and by practicing healthy living.

Should I stop my medications as a client of your practice?

No, you should not. You should always consult with your medical doctor about any changes you want to make with your medications.

Is there anything special I need to know about in-office appointments?

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Makeup is fine, however, please do not wear perfume, cologne, oils, or strong fragrance products (including hair products, sunscreens, and lotions) when coming to our office. Many people with allergies are very sensitive to these substances.

Also, please do not bring food or drinks with you that are not a part of your health recovery plan. It is a good idea to drink at least 8 ounces of water within an hour of your appointment.

Parents please do not bring children to your appointment. If a child is coming for an appointment, please do not bring any other children unless you have first consulted with our office staff.

If you are sick or some other emergency arises, please contact us immediately to reschedule your appointment. Your cooperation in these ways is much appreciated.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, your insurance company may cover our services, but we cannot guarantee this. Your coverage will depend on your insurance carrier and the type of converge you have. Please retain your receipt if you plan to submit a claim to your insurance.

Health Savings Accounts or Flexible Spending Accounts, offered by some insurance plans and employers, are another option for paying for our services.

We do, however, accept Liberty Direct membership cards in payment of our services.

Click here for more information about Liberty Direct.

When is payment for your services expected?

Payment is due at the time service is provided. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks and most credit cards. If paying by credit card, the person whose name appears on the card must be present at the time the card is used, or we must have a signed credit card authorization form signed on file.
